CARROTS!

KID FRIENDLY CARROT RECIPES

CHEESY CARROTS

1 pound Carrots

¼ cup Oil

¼ cup Parmesan Cheese

Cut carrots into sticks. Combine carrots and oil in a bowl. Place on lined baking

sheet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cook at 400F for 20 minutes.

ASIAN CARROTS

1 pound carrots 1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 tsp soy sauce 1 teaspoon ginger

1 tsp sesame oil 2 cloves garlic

Cut carrots into sticks. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic and carrots in a

zip lock bag. Shake and allow to marinate for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375F. Roast for 30 minutes or until fork tender, turning occasionally.

CINNAMON GLAZED CARROTS

1 (16 oz) package baby carrots 2 tablespoons butter

¼ cup honey 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cook carrots by your preferred method (steaming, microwave, stovetop) until crisp and

tender.

In a separate saucepan, heat the honey, butter and cinnamon until butter is melted, stir to

blend.

Drain carrots and place in serving dish

Drizzle honey mixture over carrots and sere.

CARROT JUICE

6 carrots, peeled and cut into large chunks

1 orange, peeled and cut into large chunks

~1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeling removed

1 cup water

ice

Blend all ingredients except ice in a blender. Blend well, at least 1-2 minutes depending

on the blender. Push through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp.

Serve with ice.
