I want to thank everyone who helped with the Tree of Sharing this year. The need was great, but the community support was greater, and families were lifted up by the generosity of the Mead community once again. Parents and grandparents were relieved and overjoyed, to put it mildly. Students came back with stories about gifts received, toddlers were dressed warmly, families were fed, hearts and bellies were full. The holidays are often hard for some individuals, for various reasons, and I believe this year, the burdens people carried were lighter because of the compassion you showed.
A special thank you to Natalie Smith for making the tags and to Miss Mary, for organizing and double checking all of the gifts. Yokes, Living Ignited, Whitworth Presbyterian, Timberview Church, Spokane County Sheriff's Department, and many parents and staff of Meadow Ridge Elementary helped 27 families have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you again, for helping those in need this holiday season.
