This year we will take the Smarter Balanced Assessments. The test is different in design & requires all students to complete reading, writing and mathematical tests. This test is completed on the computer, which is another new step for our students. These tests are longer and require more problem solving. For this reason, I want to stress the importance of having your student at school on the days they are testing. Since the tests are more difficult, they may take the students longer to finish, making it important that the student attend school for the full day. There are very few options to make up the test, so it is imperative that the students are at school on testing days. Please look at the list of testing dates in the calendar and plan accordingly. Thank you for supporting us as we prepare for these new, rigorous tests.

*Shirts on both boys and girls need to completely cover the belly.
*Tank top straps are to be at least one and a half inches wide, cover the chest adequately, and cover the bra straps.
